The iCarsoft CR Elite P is an all-makes four-system diagnostic tool for users who want more capability than a basic OBD2 reader without paying for full-system access across every fitted control module.

Four-System Diagnostics

The CR Elite P is designed around the four systems most commonly associated with warning lights, safety faults and drivability problems.

The CR Elite P does not provide the same full-system module access as the CR Pro+, CR Pro S or CR Max tablets. Its main diagnostic coverage is intentionally focused on these four systems.

Bi-Directional Control and Active Testing

On supported vehicles, bi-directional control allows the CR Elite P to send commands to selected components and check whether they respond correctly. This can make fault finding more useful than simply reading a stored code.

Available tests depend on the vehicle and supported system. Examples can include selected throttle, window, mirror, door-lock, pump and actuator tests where the software and ECU allow them.

Exact active tests vary by make, model, year and fitted ECU. The CR Elite P should not be treated as providing every active test across the entire vehicle.

Selected Coding, Adaptation and Relearn Functions

The current CR Elite P software includes selected coding, adaptation and component relearn functions on compatible vehicles. Depending on the vehicle, these can support replacement-component setup, parameter calibration or selected configuration changes.

This does not turn the CR Elite P into a universal ECU-programming tool. Coding availability varies significantly and must be confirmed for the exact vehicle and required function.

Up to 50 Service and Maintenance Functions

Additional supported routines can include transmission adaptations, air suspension service, airbag functions, seat calibration, window and roof learning, EGR and AdBlue procedures, clutch matching, crankshaft learning, turbocharger functions, NOx sensor reset, radar and camera calibration and other vehicle-specific procedures.

Service-function availability varies by vehicle make, model, year, system and ECU configuration. A function listed in the tool does not mean it is available on every supported vehicle.

Full OBD2 and Emissions Diagnostics

The CR Elite P supports all 10 standard OBD2 test modes on compatible vehicles. This includes reading and clearing emissions-related codes, I/M readiness, live data, freeze-frame data, vehicle information, oxygen-sensor tests, onboard monitor tests and EVAP-system testing where supported.

A built-in battery voltage test also provides a quick check of vehicle voltage before or during diagnostic work.

Modern Touchscreen Hardware

The 5-inch Android touchscreen gives the CR Elite P a more modern interface than older button-operated scan tools while remaining compact enough for everyday use. Its quad-core 1.3GHz processor and 64GB internal storage provide room for vehicle software, diagnostic records and reports.

The 5000mAh rechargeable battery provides around six hours of continuous operation. Routine software updates are downloaded directly over Wi-Fi, with no annual update subscription.

Diagnostic History and Reports

Previously tested vehicles and diagnostic sessions can be reopened from the tool. Reports can be saved and shared, while diagnostic information can be printed by connecting the CR Elite P to a Windows computer through USB.

The built-in Feedback function can also submit diagnostic LOG information when a software coverage or communication issue needs review.

CR Elite P or CR Pro+?

Choose the CR Elite P when the four core systems cover the work you expect to do. Move to the CR Pro+ or CR Pro S when wider module access is important.
