THE PORSCHE FULL-SYSTEM HANDHELD
Dedicated Porsche diagnostics, bi-directional testing and 20+ service, adaptation and calibration functions.
The iCarsoft POR V3.0 is a dedicated Porsche diagnostic tool for owners, enthusiasts, home mechanics and independent workshops that want deeper access than a basic OBD2 reader without moving to a larger multi-make tablet.
It provides full-system diagnostics on supported Porsche vehicles, together with AutoVIN, live data, bi-directional active testing, diagnostic reports and more than 20 service, adaptation and calibration functions.
WHERE IT FITS
The POR V3.0 is best where Porsche vehicles are the main focus. It delivers deeper Porsche-specific diagnostics and maintenance routines than a generic code reader, while remaining simpler and more affordable than a broader German-make or all-makes tool.
Porsche vehicles use manufacturer-specific control modules for drivetrain, chassis, safety, comfort and body systems. The POR V3.0 is designed to communicate with supported Porsche modules and provide the service and calibration procedures commonly needed during maintenance and repair.
Porsche-specific access
Dedicated diagnostics for supported Porsche systems and platforms.
Active diagnosis
Command supported components and confirm their response during fault finding.
Straightforward handheld
Vehicle-powered operation with physical buttons and lifetime free updates.
The POR V3.0 is designed to communicate with manufacturer-specific modules throughout supported Porsche vehicles. Depending on the model, this can include engine, PDK or automatic transmission, ABS, airbags, instrument cluster, body control, climate control, electronic parking brake, PASM and suspension systems, lighting, infotainment and other fitted electronics.
Available functions include reading and clearing fault codes, viewing ECU information, checking live data and freeze-frame information, carrying out a complete vehicle scan and opening individual modules for more focused diagnosis.
The exact systems available depend on the model, year, market specification and fitted control modules.
Bi-directional control allows the POR V3.0 to send commands to supported modules and components rather than only reading stored information. This can help determine whether a component responds before replacement parts are ordered.
Depending on the vehicle, active tests can include windows, mirrors, door locks, fuel pumps, throttle actuators, ABS pump operation, cooling fans, valves, relays and other supported electrical systems.
Active-test coverage varies by model, year and fitted ECU. A test available on one Porsche may not be available on another.
On compatible vehicles, the POR V3.0 supports selected adaptation, relearn and calibration routines. These can include power-window standardisation, steering-column adjustment, combination-sensor calibration, headlamp adjustment, acceleration-sensor calibration, fuel-level calibration, rear-lid calibration, seat-occupancy calibration and other supported Porsche-specific procedures.
This is not universal online programming or unrestricted blank-module programming. Exact adaptation and calibration availability must be checked for the vehicle and intended task.
The POR V3.0 includes frequently used Porsche maintenance functions together with more specialised workshop routines.
Available procedures can include oil and service reset, electronic parking-brake service, battery registration, steering-angle calibration, DPF regeneration, throttle relearn, air-suspension calibration, headlamp calibration, TPMS functions and other Porsche-specific maintenance routines.
Service-function availability varies by model, year, system and ECU configuration. A listed function is not available on every supported vehicle.
The POR V3.0 supports CAN-FD communication used by selected newer Porsche platforms. This improves access to compatible later-model vehicles that may not communicate fully with older diagnostic hardware.
Some newer vehicles can also use security-gateway restrictions that limit active tests or service procedures. Exact access depends on the vehicle and manufacturer requirements.
Software updates are installed through a Windows computer using the supplied card reader and storage card. Updates remain free for the life of the tool, with no annual subscription.
Previous diagnostic sessions can be reopened, and reports can be saved or printed through a Windows computer for workshop records or future reference.
The POR V3.0 is intended for supported OBDII-era Porsche vehicles using the standard 16-pin diagnostic connection. Coverage includes many 911, Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne, Macan, Panamera, Taycan and 918 Spyder models.
Coverage on earlier Porsche vehicles, newly released models and specific high-level functions must be checked carefully before ordering.
BEFORE YOU ORDER
Diagnostic systems, service functions, active tests and adaptations vary by vehicle. Use the official iCarsoft Function List when a particular capability is essential.
POR V3.0
Best where Porsche is the main focus and physical controls are preferred.
DE V4.0
Better where BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen Group vehicles also need coverage, with touchscreen and Wi-Fi operation.
Choose the POR V3.0 if Porsche vehicles are your main focus and you want a physical-button tool with full-system diagnostics, active testing and Porsche-specific service and calibration capability.
Move to the DE V4.0 for broader German-make coverage and touchscreen operation. For global all-makes coverage, compare the CR Pro+ or CR Pro S.
