iCarsoft FD v1.0 Ford/Holden Scan Tool

The iCarsoft FD V1.0 is a straightforward manufacturer-specific scan tool for supported American vehicles. Although the NZ product title highlights Ford and Holden, the installed software also covers a wider group of supported Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, GM and related marques.

It can read and clear manufacturer-specific fault codes, display live data, retrieve ECU information and scan supported control modules beyond the engine system.

All-System Diagnostics

Unlike an engine-only OBD2 reader, the FD V1.0 can communicate with manufacturer-specific modules throughout supported vehicles.

Depending on the make, model and year, this can include engine, transmission, ABS, airbags, instrument cluster, body control, climate control, steering, lighting, chassis, security and other fitted systems.

The available modules vary considerably between vehicles, particularly across Holden and different North American platforms.

Two Service Functions

These functions are vehicle-dependent. The FD V1.0 does not include the broader EPB, DPF, battery, injector, ABS-bleeding or active-test capability offered by later models.

Current iCarsoft manufacturer information lists coverage for supported vehicles from:

Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, GM, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Hummer, Saturn and Holden.

Holden coverage varies significantly by model origin, year and control system. Check the Function List before ordering for any specific Holden, Ranger, Transit or other vehicle.
