THE LAND ROVER & JAGUAR FULL-SYSTEM HANDHELD
Dedicated JLR diagnostics, active testing and 30+ service, reset and calibration functions in a straightforward button-operated tool.
The iCarsoft LR V3.0 is a dedicated Land Rover and Jaguar diagnostic tool for owners, home mechanics, mobile technicians and smaller workshops that want deeper JLR-specific access than a basic OBD2 code reader without moving to the newer touchscreen platform.
It provides full-system diagnostics on supported Land Rover, Range Rover and Jaguar vehicles, together with AutoVIN, live data, bi-directional active testing, diagnostic reports and more than 30 service, reset, adaptation and calibration functions.
WHERE IT FITS
The LR V3.0 sits below the LR V4.0. It keeps the important Land Rover and Jaguar diagnostics, active testing and JLR service capability, but uses physical controls and PC-based updates rather than touchscreen and Wi-Fi operation.
Land Rover and Jaguar vehicles use interconnected systems for air suspension, terrain response, body electronics, climate control, safety, drivetrain and emissions management. The LR V3.0 is designed to access supported JLR modules beyond the engine system and provide the service procedures commonly needed during maintenance and repair.
JLR-specific access
Dedicated coverage for supported Land Rover, Range Rover and Jaguar systems.
Active diagnosis
Command supported components and check their response during fault finding.
Simple handheld format
Vehicle-powered operation with physical buttons and lifetime free updates.
The LR V3.0 is designed to communicate with manufacturer-specific modules throughout supported vehicles. Depending on the model, this can include engine, transmission, ABS, airbags, steering, instrument cluster, body control, climate control, electronic parking brake, air suspension, terrain and stability systems, lighting, security and gateway modules.
Available functions include reading and clearing fault codes, viewing ECU information, checking live data and freeze-frame information, carrying out a complete vehicle scan and opening individual modules for more focused diagnosis.
The exact systems available depend on the model, year, market specification and fitted control modules.
Bi-directional control allows the LR V3.0 to send commands to supported modules and components rather than only reading stored information. This can help confirm whether a component responds before replacement parts are ordered.
Depending on the vehicle, active tests can include windows, mirrors, door locks, throttle actuators, fuel pumps, cooling fans, valves, relays and other supported electrical systems.
Active-test coverage varies by model, year and fitted ECU. A test available on one JLR vehicle may not be available on another.
The LR V3.0 includes common JLR maintenance procedures together with higher-level workshop routines for supported vehicles.
Additional supported procedures can include TPMS functions, air-conditioning service, headlamp calibration, engine and transmission adaptations, seat calibration, fuel-pump activation, airbag routines, window and roof relearns, AdBlue and EGR functions, crankshaft learning, turbocharger functions, high-voltage battery service, radar and camera calibration, yaw-rate calibration, powertrain configuration resets and other JLR-specific operations.
Service-function availability varies by model, year, system and ECU configuration. A listed function is not available on every supported vehicle.
Software updates are installed through a Windows computer using the supplied USB cable and storage card. Updates remain free for the life of the tool, with no annual subscription.
Previous diagnostic sessions can be reopened, and reports can be saved or printed through a Windows computer for workshop records or customer documentation.
The LR V3.0 is intended for supported OBDII-era Land Rover, Range Rover and Jaguar vehicles using the standard 16-pin diagnostic connection. This includes many Defender, Discovery, Discovery Sport, Freelander, Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Evoque, XE, XF, XJ, XK, F-Type and F-Pace models.
Coverage on early pre-2000 Land Rover and Jaguar vehicles can be limited or unavailable, particularly where older diagnostic connectors or protocols are used. Check the Function List before ordering for an older vehicle.
